Students learn concepts through the process of inductive reasoning. Students develop their own definitions and conjectures through group discussions and investigations. Tools (protractors, rulers, and compasses) are used extensively in this course. The course covers such topics as: congruency; similarity; patterns; properties of polygons and circles; area and volume; introduction to trigonometry; and the Pythagorean Theorem.
